FAQs
White Sands Pool Plastering, Inc.
Is the company's State of Florida License number written on your business cards/contract/proposals/advertising?
Our Florida state license number (CPC 044-954) appears on all our business materials including proposals, contracts, business cards, advertising, and even our company vehicles. Are you working under your own License or using someone else's?
We operate under our own certified Pool/Spa Contractor License. You can verify this information at www.myfloridalicense.com.What insurances do you carry?
We carry at least $1,000,000 in insurance coverage for pool popping, which is not covered under standard homeowner's insurance policies. This insurance is held directly by our company, not under another company's name. We're happy to provide proof of this coverage upon request.Do you apply a bonding agent/scratch coat prior to applying the final surface?
Yes, we apply a bonding agent/scratch coat before the final surface application. This critical step is documented in writing on your estimate/contract. Without this bond coat, delamination can occur. Our warranty specifically covers delamination, which some companies exclude.Do you have your own employees? Or do you "sub everything out"?
All our employees work directly for White Sands Pool Plastering. We do not subcontract our work to other companies.Do you shoot from a Pump Truck or use a Wheelbarrow Truck?
We utilize both methods. Our company owns multiple pump trucks that mix and transfer material directly into your pool using long hoses. We also employ wheelbarrow trucks when necessary, especially in areas where our pump trucks cannot effectively reach the pool.Do you bring your own materials?
Yes, we supply all our own materials. This is important because if materials are delivered by another company that hasn't been paid, you could potentially face a lien for those costs.Do you have a physical business office and assets owned by the company, or do you work strictly out of your home with no company assets?
Our company maintains a physical office in Sanford, Florida, where we also store our equipment and trucks. Clients are welcome to visit our location at any time. How long have you been in business under the current ownership?
Our business has been operating since 1989, originally under the ownership of Kevin & Kim Liljenquist. Following Kevin's retirement, Kim became the sole owner of White Sands Pool Plastering. We've been a licensed pebble applicator since 1989, which can be verified at www.sunbiz.org.
